Bill Demma is a newcomer to photo digital editing. After a few trips to the Far East, his Western brain came to a startling conclusion: It is not necessary to be happy all the time. After visiting Varanassi, the Hindu capitol of India, his life was changed. Almost all of the homes in Varanassi had only one bare light bulb and no running water, so early in the morning, the entire town walked to the Mother Ganges to wash themselves and to prepare for the coming day. Instead of hearing complaints, he heard what sounded like a large celebration. Despite their circumstances, these people were incredibly happy.
Almost 20 years later, Bill took the time to actually study the philosophy of these people to see if he could find more of their peace of mind and contentment for himself. He discovered Buddhism and its many truths that are applicable to every human on this planet. "Focused Wisdom" is his way of calling attention to the most basic of Eastern thought as seen through his Western eyes. Because, believe it or not, the happier we are as truthful and empathetic individuals, the better the entire world will be.
Bill brings a wealth of experience to his art. He has been an educator, an actor, a singer, a theatrical accountant, a mill worker, and general manager/CFO of a bi-coastal film company. He has even scraped smashed hamburgers from a Wendy's parking lot; Buddha would have seen that as a good thing.
Oh! Dem Greetings, a company established in 2006, was created as an outlet for Bill’s photography. Digital editing provided the means to enhance years of photographs taken all over the world. And, as an avid shopper for greeting cards, Bill decided to use his photography to become a part of this artistic world of communication. A greeting card says a lot about the sender and what is to be conveyed; it does mean something, often something important, to both the greeter and the greeted.
The company also does graphic design and hanging art. Please contact Bill at
